Day 1

Journey to Lake Natron

 

Day Highlights

🚙 Scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley
🦩 Explore Lake Natron and spot flamingos
💧 Hike to Ngare Sero Waterfalls
🌅 Sunset at the lake and overnight stay

Early in the morning, you will depart from your accommodation and begin a scenic journey through the Great Rift Valley, heading toward the remote landscapes of Lake Natron.

Upon arrival, you will enjoy lunch before heading out on a guided hike to Ngare Sero Waterfalls, a hidden oasis surrounded by rocky terrain.

Later, you will return to Lake Natron for a nature walk, where you can observe large flocks of flamingos feeding in the mineral-rich waters.

At sunset, the lake transforms into a spectacular scene with glowing reflections, before you head back to your accommodation for dinner and rest ahead of the night hike.

Day 2

Ol Doinyo Lengai Summit & Return

🚙 Return journey after cultural experience

Shortly after midnight, you will begin your guided ascent of Ol Doinyo Lengai, climbing under the stars with experienced local guides.

After a challenging hike, you will reach the summit at sunrise, where you will be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the Great Rift Valley, Lake Natron, and the surrounding savannah.

After descending, you will enjoy breakfast and time to rest, followed by a visit to a nearby Maasai village, where you will learn about local traditions and culture.

Later, you will begin the return journey, arriving back in Arusha in the evening.
