Your journey begins with a drive to the remote Londorossi Gate, far from the busier Kilimanjaro routes.
After registration, you enter a lush rainforest where the air is humid and full of life. The trail is gentle, allowing your body to ease into the trek.
You may spot monkeys or other wildlife as you walk through dense vegetation before reaching Mti Mkubwa Camp, where you spend your first night on the mountain.

After breakfast, the trail gradually climbs out of the forest into moorland.
As vegetation changes, the views begin to open dramatically. You’ll hike along ridges with panoramic scenery, eventually reaching Shira 1 Camp, located on the edge of the vast Shira Plateau.
The temperature begins to drop, and you’ll feel the first real effects of altitude.

This is one of the most important days for acclimatization.
You ascend toward Lava Tower (4,650m), experiencing high altitude before descending again into the beautiful Barranco Valley.
The landscape becomes more dramatic, with giant senecio plants and incredible views of the mountain walls.

⚡ Short but technical day
After breakfast, you tackle the famous Barranco Wall, a steep but non-technical climb that offers incredible views.
Once at the top, the trail becomes more relaxed as you head toward Karanga Camp, where you prepare for the higher altitudes ahead.

The trail climbs steadily toward Barafu Camp, your base for the summit attempt.
The environment here is harsh and exposed, with minimal vegetation. You’ll have an early dinner and rest, preparing mentally and physically for the summit push.

🏆 Ultimate achievement
Your summit attempt begins shortly after midnight.
You hike under the stars toward Stella Point, then continue to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa.
After celebrating this incredible achievement, you descend carefully to Mweka Camp, where you rest after a long and rewarding day.
